**NOTE: On Sunday, 8/11/19, there is a special Kitten Day event happening at the cafe, and pre-reservations are required. You can reserve a ticket HERE. Walk-in admission may not be possible, so please plan accordingly!**

The Scratching Post offers visitors the opportunity to interact and relax with adoptable cats in an atmosphere similar to a typical living room for a small fee. Patrons have access to comfortable seating, and WiFi, and can study, read, or catch up with friends while visiting with the cats. Customers of The Scratching Post must be at least five years of age and sign a waiver (or have one signed by a parent or guardian). Waivers are available on this website or at the cafe, and kept on file and valid for one year. 

There is not any food prepared on premises for sale at The Scratching Post, but rather customers are encouraged to purchase food at other local establishments to bring with them. We do ask that any food or beverage not be share with the cats. 

The Scratching Post is not only a source of relaxation and pleasure for patrons, but is also a unique adoption platform for area rescues. Potential adopters can interact with the cats in a relaxed atmosphere that is more conducive to getting a sense of their personality than a typical shelter. We work with area rescues, so that all the cats at The Scratching Post are healthy and vaccinated. We cannot accept cats and kittens from the public.

The Scratching Post is manged by Cherished Cats Rescue Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all proceeds are used to support continued feline rescue efforts in the local area.
